Business Events Calendar
We know
how hard it can be to organize all the business events you
can attend, so we have tried to list all the business events
from around Calgary in one easy to use Calendar.
Okay we
admit, our staff was getting frustrated and wanted all the
business events in one calendar, so we thought, hey let's
make it public for the business owners who subscribe to our
e-newsletter. You can also submit events you know about, and
we'll try to add them.

Eyetracking
and your site design
Eyetracking
technology has been around for a while now, and is starting
to find its way into even small business budgets.
A
study
of the San Fransico Police Department's web redesign
found that a few structural changes greatly increased
the eye traffic and use of their nagivation bar. The
interesting thing is, they didn't change the navigation
bar at all.
We'll
admit there's something cool about the technology that
we can't resist. But the real moral of the story is
this: The internet is all about data. Whether it's web
stats or an eye tracking study (remarkably affordable,
by the way), use that data to shape your business decisions.

The
Year of Online Brand Advertising
Performance-based
online advertising gets a lot of attention these days,
and for good reason. Google, its largest purveyor and
most visible champion, has grown from nowhere into a
billion-dollar-a-quarter advertising behemoth in matter
of just a few years.
Big
as it will be, performance-based advertising won't be
this year's biggest online advertising story however,
writes Dave Morgan in ClickZ. The real surprise will
be the growth of brand advertising online.
