IAB Canada Announces Canadian Online Ad Standards

IAB Canada recently released figures that estimate 2004 revenues for the Canadian online publishing industry at $295 million dollars, up 68 percent in just the last two years. "Developing advertising standards that make it easier for advertisers and their agencies to buy into this channel will help fuel the continued growth of online advertising in Canada,"says Brent Lowe-Bernie, IAB Canada's Chairman.

Based on the success of the American online industry's move to standard ad sizes, a joint task force made up of both IAB Publisher and Agency member reps defined and agreed upon a set of Canadian standard ad sizes.
