FTC rules porno e-mails need warning labels

Spam that contains sexually oriented material must include the warning "SEXUALLY-EXPLICIT " in the subject line beginning May 19. "The purpose of the notice is to inform recipients that a spam message contains sexually oriented material and to make it easier to filter out messages they do not wish to receive," the Federal Trade Commission said in a statement. The ruling also bars spammers from including explicit photographs in their e-mails or explicit phrases in the subject lines.
